As newlyweds, my husband and I were looking to buy a house. However, my husband was unemployed and we were facing some financial challenges.

My father loaned us some of Joseph Prince’s sermons on CDs and after listening, we realized that we were not depending on God in every area of our lives—we were praying for God to open doors while trying to open our own doors.

After handing everything over to the Lord, things started coming together in ways we could have never imagined! My husband found a dream job that utilizes his talents and gifts that God has given him. Our prayer to make some good friends who share similar values was also answered as we were blessed with godly friends who were just starting their lives together!

One night, after going to their house for dinner, they announced that a house across the street was up for sale. My husband and I decided to seek God’s will in the matter. After praying about it, God simply said, “The door is opened. You just have to walk through.”

At this time, we knew that we could move forward, relying completely on God or take a step back and try to handle the matter on our own. Eventually, we cast our cares to God, checked out the house and signed the papers three days later. And the finances needed for the house literally fell on us!

God is so good and wants the BEST for his children. All we have to do is open the door and let Him in. When we give Him every part of our lives, He will never let us down. Instead, He has blown down walls for us and blessed us so richly!
